Information regarding collection of exam results.

Are you collecting your GCSE, Cambridge Technical or A Level results from Wolverhampton Grammar School this year? If you are, good luck! Detailed below some helpful information about what to expect on the day, please also refer to the results email sent by school in May which contains further information.

A Level Results - Thursday 15th August

  • Results will be published on Firefly and available for students to access from 8.00am

  • If UCAS Apply indicates that you have been declined by both your Conditional Firm (CF) or Insurance Acceptance (CI) then please call school to make an appointment with Mrs Clancy or Mr Hughes from 8.00am.

  • Students who wish to collect their results in person can do so in Big School between 9am and 10am, please do not come into school before then unless on a pre-arranged appointment. Miss Grew, Mr Wood and other staff will be available in Big School to help and advise if you have any questions about your results.

  • Staff will also be in School on Friday 16th August for any students or families who need ongoing support or advice. Mr Hughes and Mrs Clancy will be available for pre-arranged appointments only on that day – appointments can be made by calling School Reception.
     

Lower Sixth Results - Thursday 15th August

  • Results for Lower Sixth Cambridge Technical modules (PE) will be published to Firefly and can be collected from School Reception during the day (from 09:30am onwards). Any results not collected by 3pm will be posted to your home address.

GCSE Results - Thursday 22nd August 

  • Results will be published on Firefly and available to access from 8.00am. Parents and students will be emailed a link from which they can access results. Students themselves will need to log in to view the results.
  • We would strongly encourage all students to collect their results in person in Big School between 9am and 10am. Mrs Clancy, Mr Hughes, Miss Grew, and Mr Clancy plus a range of staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for Sixth Form subject choices etc.
  • Subject choice meetings will be available from 10am for any students who wish to change their subject choices for Sixth Form please contact main reception to arrange an appointment with Mrs Clancy, Mr Hughes, Miss Grew or Mr Clancy. Some students may receive details regarding a meeting scheduled for them on Thursday 22nd or Friday 23rd August enclosed with their results.
  • Ms Sohal (WGS Exams Officer) will be available between 08:00-12:00pm on Thursday 22nd August. 
  • Staff will also be in School on Friday 23rd August for any students or families who need ongoing support or advice about their results or Sixth Form.

Can’t come to School to collect your results?

Any results not collected on the day will be posted to your home address unless other arrangements have been put in place. Results can only be handed to a third party if the School has received written permission from the candidate concerned – this should be received by the end of the Summer term.

Results cannot be emailed or telephoned to students or their families.
