Founded in 1512, Wolverhampton Grammar School is an award-winning independent day school, for boys and girls ages 4 to 18.
Wolverhampton Grammar School is a co-educational, independent school. We work hard to ensure we meet the expectations of our students, staff, parents, local community and former students (known as Old Wulfrunians).
We are an outstanding School and a committed employer (employing almost 200 teachers, professional and technical staff) and endeavour to ensure that we comply with all the expectations and requirements that legislation and best practice demand.
We also work with a range of local, national and international organisations to ensure our School continues to thrive and deliver best practice in all areas.
The School is governed by a Board of Directors, who are supported by a Council and Board of Trustees. The leadership and management of the School is delegated by Directors to the Head. Wolverhampton Grammar School is a limited company and a registered charity. It is routinely inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The ISI is a Government approved inspectorate responsible for the inspection of Association Independent Schools. Schools in the Associations are ranked among the best in the world and educate more than half a million children in 1,200 schools. ISI also inspects private further education colleges and English language schools on behalf of the Home Office. The links below lead to some of our key policies and procedures.
