Each year 40+ students join our Senior School along with a similar number moving up from the Junior School.

Please complete the online registration form below to make a formal application to Wolverhampton Grammar School for your child.

A non-refundable registration fee of £50 will be requested after you submit your form, and as confirmation that you wish to proceed. Please note that our infant classes currently have a waiting list so we advise you to call our Admissions Team before completing our registration form and paying the registration fee.

Children from Year 7 to Year 10 who wish to apply for our OpAL Programme should include a recent Educational Psychologist report and the contact details of any teacher who was given specialist teaching in the last two years.

A music scholarship is awarded to a student joining the Senior School at Year 7. Candidates short listed for a music scholarship will be required to audition. The minimum standard expected is Grade 5 in the main instrument, by the age of 11.

Means tested and offered at Year 7 to a student/s transferring from another school. The student must live within the Wolverhampton area (WV postcode) and, along with strong academic ability can clearly demonstrate that they will make a positive contribution to the School. Applicants requiring support will be sent a Statement of Financial Circumstances (KSB1) Form which must be completed. The information given by parents/guardians is strictly confidential.

We offer a number of bursaries at Year 7 to support families who could not otherwise afford a place at our school. All bursaries are means tested and may vary according to the level of family household income and assets.
