Voting for the 2024 Two Cities Book Award is now open!
Two Cities Book Award 2024
The Two Cities Book Award was launched in 2022 with the aim to inspire young adults to read for pleasure. King Edward's School in Edgbaston and Wolverhampton Grammar School are delighted to be working in partnership for the third year running to inspire young people aged 14 - 18 to read for pleasure.
Last year, hundreds of young people voted A.M. Dassu as their winner with Fight Back, which is an empowering story about embracing your identity and finding the courage to fight for it. The Two Cities Book Award is back for a third year, and the following titles have been shortlisted:
- Wild East by Ashley Hickson-Lovence (Penguin Random House Children's)
- Nettle by Bex Hogan (Zephyr)
- AdelAIDE Just Wants to Help by Melinda Salisbury (Barrington Stoke)
- Here to Slay by Radhika Sanghani (Knights Of)
As the Two Cities Book Award is aimed at young adults aged 14 and over, please note that some of the titles do cover topics such as knife crime, county lines, relationships and physical violence. Some of the titles also contain strong language.
Voting closes on Friday 29th November at 10am.
